At only 25 years of age, singer/songwriter Daniel René is no stranger to the spotlight; he has already been in the music industry for 10 years and is a writer on a recently Grammy nominated album. Daniel René has taken everything he's learned, combined it with his diverse music influences and come up with a sound all his own.

Although he was born in Houston, Texas on July 25, 1982, it was in the city of Miami where Daniel René grew up with his family. His artistic career began at the age of 9 in the modeling industry. He was the image of the Tommy Hilfiger Kids clothing line and also had the opportunity to work in similar campaigns for companies like Perry Ellis and Ray Ban. Modeling led him to acting when he was chosen to participate in the theater production of Oliver for Miami's Actors Playhouse. Among other things, he also participated in a few National commercials including one for the juice drink Hi-C and the department store Macy's.

However, since early on Daniel René knew very well that he wanted to dedicate his life to the music world. When he was in the eighth grade, with the help of his parents, Norman and Lourdes, he auditioned with thousand of other kids to enter the New World School of the Arts in Miami. He was accepted and as a result was able to learn more about Music, Acting and Musical Theater.

Subsequently, at the age of 14, he received the opportunity to become a member of the singing group Menudo/MDO. He sang the first promotional single "No Puedo Olvidarme de Ti" off their album "MDO" and the song "Háblame de Amor".
As a member of the group, Daniel René participated in approximately 75 television shows and concerts in the United States, Puerto Rico, Bolivia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Panama, Peru and Mexico (performing in the National Auditorium "Auditorio Nacional" in front of 10,000 people and in the Foro Sol with a capacity of 100,000 people).

After being in MDO for a year and a half, Daniel René decided to continue his professional career as a soloist and continues to prepare himself artistically by taking vocal lessons with the Professor Luis Manuel Díaz, who also has taught singers such as José José, Pablo Montero, JD Natasha, among others.

In 1999, he signed with the Sony Epic record label, where he had the opportunity to collaborate with internationally well known producers such as Emilio Estefan, Jon Secada, Randy Barlow, George Noriega, Steve Morales, Diane Warren and Sebastian Krys, who he considers to be his teachers in the art of writing and producing music.

In 2003, Univision Music Group gave him the opportunity to launch his first solo album in the United States and Puerto Rico. The self-titled album "Daniel René" was produced by Rudy Pérez and includes the singles "No me tortures" and "El deseo de ti", a duet with Jennifer Peña. With this album he received two nominations for Best New Artist from the "Premios Lo Nuestro" and "Premios Tu Música" and for best Pop Artist of the Year from "Ritmoson Latino".

While preparing for his latest album, Daniel René had the opportunity to host a season of "El Show de Daniel René", a music video show on the CVTV channel. He co-wrote "Si Yo Fuera Tu" the worldwide hit single for Servando y Florentino. This song is a part of their Grammy Nominated album for Best Pop Duo or Group album with vocal. Recently he worked on new projects for music mogul Cecil Barker (SOBE Entertainment) and the very talented producer/songwriter Steve Morales (Million Dollar Music). Along with Steve, he wrote and vocal produced with/for Brooke Hogan, Miredys, Stacks and T López, among others. All these albums are due for release this year.

In 2007 Daniel René signed with RMG (Rosco Music Group) and is scheduled to release his sophomore album later this year. He will also be participating in the much anticipated "Pecados Ajenos". A soap opera on the Telemundo Network whose cast includes Lorena Rojas, Mauricio Islas and Sonya Smith.

After two years of preparation, Daniel René is ready to reveal his new Latin Rock/Pop influenced album. This material includes songs he co-wrote like "Dentro de Mi", "Telaraña", “La Bella Durmiente” and “No Queda Nada”; a song that led him to make his music video directorial debut. His collaboration with producers and writers such as Randy Barlow, Francesco Sondelli, Cristian Delano, Rafael Esparza, among others, contributed to the new sound for this album which Daniel René considers to be the musical fusion that best defines him.
